Echoes of the Call to Prayer in Sydney's Historic Grounds

Echoes of the Call to Prayer in Sydney's Historic Grounds

SYDNEY: Australia's historic cricket ground, the Sydney Cricket Stadium, is buzzing for the first time.

During the Eid-ul-Fitr party at Sydney Cricket Ground, prayers were offered in congregation by giving Adhan during Maghrib prayers. Former captain Waqar Younis's brother Kamil Khan, who is an entrepreneur and runs a cricket academy, hosted the Eid-ul-Fitr party at the historic ground. The event was also attended by many celebrities including former Pakistan Waqar Younis and Australian fast bowler Brett Lee.

The call to prayer of Maghrib was given at the invitation of Iftar which was also listened to with devotion and respect by the non-Muslim guests and cricketers present at the ceremony.
