Two days meeting of the chief executives of PCB:
Lahore: A two-day meeting of the chief executives of Pakistan Cricket Board and all six cricket associations for the promotion of grassroots and pathways cricket ended on Friday, May 20. The meeting decided to introduce divisional cricket, under which under-19 and senior cricketers of City and Cricket Associations would be given more opportunities to play.
First and second XI players:
1st & 2nd class players will also be able to participate in these divisional tournaments to restore their cricket form. These tournaments will be played on the basis of City Cricket Associations and Cricket Associations. Each cricket association will be allowed to form four divisional teams. The senior divisional teams will participate in a three-day tournament based on the double round robin, while the divisional division for the under-19 teams.
The meeting also agreed to divide the club cricket structure into three parts. All the cricket clubs have been divided into three sections on the basis of growth and decline in view of the performance in the previous season. Each club will be given the opportunity to play at least seven matches in the Winter and Summer Leagues.
