After a successfully performance in County Cricket and representing Derbyshire Opening Batsman for Test County Cricket, Now Derby Shire nominated him as a Captain of T20 Blast 2022. It is positive gesture from England as a Pakistani.
English county club Derbyshire have named national cricket team opener Shaun Masood as their captain for the T20 Blast:
LONDON: National cricket team opener Shaun Masood has signed a contract with Derbyshire this season, while in the Red Ball County Championship he scored 844 runs, including 3 centuries and two double centuries.

Derbyshire coach Mickey Arthur says Sean will look like a great captain while all the players in the squad support him.
Led by the Pakistani opener, Derbyshire will take on the Birmingham Bears. It should be noted that Shaun Masood is the second Pakistani to captain a county in England T20. Wasim Akram has previously led a match in Hampshire.
