Lahore: "Leave the Domestic Cricket and take compensation" board will encourage star cricketers. In this regard, consideration is being given to establish a special fund. The number of cricketers in the emerging category will be increased to 10 numbers of players.

In an informal conversation with reporters, Media Director Sami ul Hassan said that the PCB is also considering setting up a special fund for cricketers, with the aim of supporting national cricketers so that the attention of the iconic top players in the leagues is focused.

According to a PCB spokesperson, it is important to encourage young cricketers who are eligible to become permanent members of the national team in the future, so the proposal to increase the number of players in the emerging category is under consideration. 

This time it may be from 7 to 10, preference will be given to those performing in under-19 cricket. In the next plan, we will also keep an eye on the talent coming out of Pakistan Junior League. It may be recalled that in the previous Central Contract, there were a total of 17 cricketers in "A", "B" and "C" categories and 3 in Emerging, Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam and Yasir Shah playing only red ball cricket. 2. Players who have played at least four years in international tournaments are eligible for the professional contract. However, if a player has not had any experience of playing in the IPL, he would have to compete against his peers in the domestic league.
3. According to the rules set forth by BCCI, the top six players in the country would receive a chance to play in the IPL. From the seventh to tenth position, there would be a list of ‘emerging’ players who could make the cut for the tournament.
4. If a player gets picked after the sixth round, then he would have to pay a fee to the franchise. He would also need to deposit Rs 5 lakhs worth of security, which would be used to ensure that he does not leave the team before his contract ends. Also, he would not earn anything until the end of the season.
5. In order to attract foreign players, especially those from India, the IPL franchises will also offer them some financial incentives. They would be allowed to work in the team’s office, but only for a period of eight months while they undergo training. After eight months, they will be asked to resign.
6. Teams will not be able to pick more than three overseas players from the same country. Also, they would not be permitted to sign more than five Indian players. This restriction would be applicable even if a player has played in an international tournament.
