CWC23:
Chacha Bashir was stopped by the security personnel from hoisting the
"Pakistani Flag".
Before the start of the World Cup scheduled in India, Chacha Bashir, a fan of the Pakistan cricket team, was stopped by the security personnel of Hyderabad Deccan from hoisting the Pakistani flag at the airport.
Social media site Twitter (X) is doing the rounds in a video
in which Chacha Bashir can be seen shouting slogans at the arrival of the team
at the Hyderabad airport while some people can be heard making fun of him.
The security personnel at the airport stopped Chacha Bashir
from waving the Pakistani flag, however, he raised slogans in favor of Pakistan
and welcomed the players.
In an interview given to a private TV channel, Uncle Bashir responded and said that the cricket loving fans in India gave a wonderful welcome to the Pakistani team, but I will wave the flag for my country, I am not afraid of anyone. He said that India and Pakistan are eagerly waiting for the match between traditional rivals.
It should be noted that Chacha Bashir is from Karachi, but
he has been living in the American city of Chicago for 45 years.
On the other hand, the players of the national team have
started the World Cup preparations at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.
And Zaman Khan is participating in the optional training session.
