The opening ceremony of the World Cup was cancelled, but why!
India has announced to cancel the opening ceremony of the ICC World Cup. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 scheduled in India will officially begin from October 5 with a match between the defending champions England and New Zealand, both teams will compete at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
According to Indian media
reports, the Indian Cricket Board has canceled the opening ceremony without
giving a reason, while the ICC has also been informed of this decision.
The colorful opening ceremony was
scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM local time in India, in which famous Bollywood
singers and actors were scheduled to participate.
Boards from other countries were
also invited to the event, while Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, and legendary
singer Asha Bhosle were scheduled to perform.
