Darren Gough: I wanted to be Successful Bowler same like Wasim Akram & Waqar Younis:

Lahore: Former England fast bowler Darren Gough has not forgotten the brilliant bowling spells of Pakistani 'Two Ws' Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.

According to Express News, Darren Gough, MD of Yorkshire County, who was invited by Lahore Qalandars, while talking to media at Lahore Qalandars High Performance Center,

Said that when Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis visited England for the first time. I also wanted to be a successful bowler like him. He said that Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis used to bowl faster than me. I tried to swing and yorkers like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis but failed. Has the best talent, Shaheen Shah Afridi is a great cricketer.

The former Englishman said that when Shaheen was given a chance to lead by Lahore Qalandars, he also proved himself as a captain. We have made Haris Rauf a part of Yorkshire County. "I remember when we came here with the team in 2000, when we won the Karachi Test, it was already dark," said Darren Guff, referring to the tour of Pakistan. He further said that my stay was good then and still is wonderful, Lahore is a beautiful and rich cultural city, people are very hospitable and loving, come here now and get a good idea from Players Development Program. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like ain't for me either.

Darren Gough: I wanted to be Successful Bowler same like Wasim Akram & Waqar Younis: We are all working together. "I want success at any cost. What should we do? Just follow the money? Well, here is another option. Let us work and achieve our goals as quickly." But how could that mean anything other than what Muhammad Ali said..(who did nothing against him)!! How can it not have been a huge mistake?? The way in which India played Sri Lanka was terrible from start till finish – so why on earth would they play Australia for 3 days after losing 2 matches! And this must come down mainly with personal issue! When does 'success' become such of an important concept when one has give his life to serve for his country.

Darren Gough: I wanted to be Successful Bowler same like Wasim Akram & Waqar Younis: It's really hard not being satisfied after a successful season and then losing your job. But hopefully these guys can do it again with pride so we have everything going for us from this day forward"
The final game of the Premier League is at home against Southampton on Saturday 3rd September 2016, Kick Off 12.00pm (UK).

1. Darren Gough has been a professional cricketer since 1991. He started his career at Somerset County Cricket Club and has played Test cricket for England. He was named Captain of the English team in 2003-2004 and captained them to victory in both the 2005 Ashes series and 2006 ICC World Twenty20. In November 2013 he announced that he would retire from international cricket after playing Tests against Pakistan in 2014.

2. His bowling style was unorthodox at first, but he used this to great effect later in his career. One of the best sights to watch him bowl is when he bowls two consecutive balls wide outside off stump and then reverse swing them into the right hander's pads. This is seen regularly in test matches. When he bowled these balls, he had the reputation of being able to hit a ball further than any other fast bowler.

3. Gough took over 300 wickets in ODIs and 50 in T20s, including 4 ten wicket hauls. These are still records today. In the 2007 World Cup final, Gough scored 60 runs in 10 overs batting at No. 8, becoming only the second man to score a half century without scoring a single six.

4. Darren Gough has won 5 major awards in his career, including leading England to their first ever Test win in Australia, the 2005 Ashes in Australia, the 2006 ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa, the 2007 World Cup Final in India, and the 2008 ICC Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka.

5. During his career, Gough has taken 2 hat tricks (against Ireland in 1997 and Australia in 2004), while taking 7 five-wicket hauls in ODIs and 6 in T20Is.

6. He is currently working on coaching young players.

Former England fast bowler Darren Gough has not forgotten the brilliant bowling spells of Pakistani 'Two Ws' Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. In a recent interview, he also shared some thoughts on Pakistan's current performance in Test cricket. Saqlain Mushtaq "One of the best two bowlers that I have seen playing for us is Imran Khan," Lahore revealed when asked about former World XI Captain.

1. Two Legends Two W's (Wasim-Waqar)

i. Wasim Akram was arguably the greatest leg spinner of all time. He had some fantastic bowling spells in his career that included the two wows. His spell against India in the 1996 World Cup is considered one of the best bowlers’ performance of all time. He took 5 for 18 and 2 for 13.

ii. Waqar Younis was one of Pakistan's finest left-arm spinners ever. He is regarded as one of the most dangerous batsmen of all time. His batting ability was what really stood out but he would often get starts from a good length ball. He could hit the ball over cover if given half a chance.

2. Lahore was memorable Home Ground

Lahore is located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is the capital of the Punjab Province. Lahore is known for its rich culture, heritage, cuisine, language, literature, art and music. This video features just three of our favorite things about Lollywood, Islamabad Capital Territory and Karachi – including the cityscape, the food culture and the people – all of whom live in the three largest cities of Pakistan. So do take a look at this video and enjoy!

Former England fast bowler Darren Gough has not forgotten the brilliant bowling spells of Pakistani 'Two W's' Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. Who played for three sides in Pakistan's history before retiring this year at 31, said his team could have been more like New Zealand to achieve a similar victory but had "played our own game." When asked if it was unfair he did play all these big players when playing Bangladesh (which conceded only 65 runs) instead? The former ECB man replied that you can't always be 100 per cent effective on day one because there are many small things - or maybe just plain bad decisions by your manager as well. He added though that having an attack against any side made them stronger than other bowlers such India(84-5), Australia, West Indies.
